AN ENGLISH CHARLES II NEEDLWORK MIRROR

A Charles II giltwood mirror with square plate in moulded borders, the receding side panels inset with glazed silk needlework scenes of Adam and Eve, elegantly-dressed ladies and a peacock surrounded by flower-heads. Needlework second half 17th century. The frame is a very-well done 20th century restoration/replacement of the original gilded frame.
